Oxford: Desperately seeking nursery nurses & assistants

The Newport branch may be making all the headlines at the moment, but the team in Oxford are on the phones all day trying to finding new candidates to fill an increasing number of jobs available; especially in the nurseries.

Fran, who heads up Oxford’s child care desk, says that they have seen an explosion in opportunities for nursery nurses and assistants as the new school year gets underway.

"I know our Newport branch has had a fantastic start, but all we can say is ‘welcome to our world’. It’s like that every day here. At the moment it’s pretty manic in the office as nursery after nursery calls on us for support,” she says.

"We have an enviable database of the most highly skilled and qualified people to work in nurseries, but our pool is fast disappearing as client after client comes back to us.

"In fact, nurseries are so eager to take a Completely Care candidate above people from other agencies, that we are even supplying carers, or support workers with experience of working with children!”
