"The staff are very friendly and never pressurise me, and this is amazing as I have dealt with agencies that do. I like you guys. Keep up the good work!"

Candidate Zone: What is a CRB check?

The CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) is an executive agency of the Home Office. Its role is to help companies and organisations make safer recruitment decisions by providing any information that will notify you of an individual's criminal convictions.

The CRB check is a review of all the relevant protection lists; the specific lists reviewed are dependant upon the position the candidate applies for.

Two copies of the CRB check are then sent out - one to us and one to the candidate - with the process taking approximately one month.

In order for us to complete the CRB check through, candidates must provide us with:

  • Proof of identification (download CRB identity document here)
  • Addresses for the last 5 years

Completely Care will manage the whole of this procedure on your behalf, at cost price only.
