We’re looking for Learning Support Workers to help the young adults we support through a transitional stage
in their lives after school.
Everyone finds
change unsettling, and leaving school is a big change. Your role will be to:
- develop close and constructive relationships with the young adults
we support and their families
- use your imagination to help young people discover new interests
and activities, develop new strategies for managing in social situations,
and work out just the right balance of structure and spontaneity based on
each person’s particular needs
- use your energy and enthusiasm to motivate, encourage and inspire both
the people we support and your colleagues
- have the confidence to take responsibility and lead in unfamiliar
situations.
If you’ve had
experience as a Learning Support Assistant, a Teaching Assistant or a Learning
Support Worker, or have an Education, Psychology or Health Care background or have
experience of supporting people within a social care environment and are
looking for your next challenge this role maybe the challenge you are looking for.
You must
demonstrate a proactive, confident and flexible approach to work, which will
involve some evenings and weekends.
You will need a
full
UKdriving licence and your own transport, as you will support young people across
Oxfordshire.
