The role involves working with clients with a variety of needs, including some personal care. The position involves providing support with general household chores and duties, and providing life skills coaching. The aim of the project is to support and encourage residents, to enable them to develop their personal skills and to provide them with the support they need in order to live as independent lives as is possible. Clients have a wide range of abilities, and some are more able than others.
The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting people with learning difficulties, as well as basic social care training, such as moving & handling, first aid, food hygiene and health and safety certificates. Knowledge and experience of supporting people with epilepsy would also be an advantage.
This position requires an enhanced criminal record check to be carried out.
